About Me
Welcome to my personal blog site!
My passion for learning, leading, and living in the 21st century has led me to collaborate with a wide variety of talented visionaries. These individuals seek to conceptualize and construct the conditions that will prepare students to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Currently, I am a Principal with the Waterloo Region District School Board, at Winston Churchill Public School in Waterloo, ON.
Prior to this appointment, I was the Principal at Williamsburg Public School, Glencairn Public School and Vice-Principal at Westheights Senior Public School. During my last five years in the classroom, I was teaching grade six at Park Manor Public School in Elmira, ON.
Together with the awesome staff and administration at Park Manor, I led the development of the Accelerated Learning Framework. Originally shared at http://acceleratedlearningframework.wordpress.com , this Framework has been featured in Michael Fullan’s books, “Stratosphere – Integrating Technology, Pedagogy, and Change Knowledge” and “Motion Leadership in Action”.
Currently, my focus and thinking is directed towards a pursuit to get ‘REAL’ within my role as an educator and leader.
